2nd Loss Of The Season For Pirates Basketball

2nd Loss Of The Season For Pirates Basketball

The NJCAA Division II #1 ranked NCMC Pirates fell to NJCAA Division I #4 ranked Indian Hills Community College on Wednesday night in Ottumwa, IA.  The loss, by the score of 90-72, was only the Pirates second of the season.  They will look to rebound from the defeat in a home matchup with Central Methodist University JV on Thursday night at the Ketcham Community Center.

The Pirates were unable to stop a balanced attack from the Warriors.  As a team, they shot 52% from the field and had six players score 12 or more points in the contest.  The only Pirates in double digits were Atavian Butler (19 pts) and TJ Babikir (16 pts).  Season leading scorer Marty Jackson got in foul trouble early in the game, diminishing his effectiveness.
