Missouri Valley College JV couldn't provide much of a challenge to the top ranked NCMC men's basketball program on Thursday night. The Pirates cruised to a 120-82 victory, their 21st win of the season. Saturday the Pirates will travel to Kansas City, MO to take on Metropolitan Community College in a NJCAA Region XVI showdown. The Pirates are currently 1-0 in region play following a homecoming victory over St. Louis Community College.
Against the Vikings on Thursday, a balanced offensive attack from NCMC proved to be the winning recipe. Six Pirates scored in double figures with Marty Jackson (22 pts), Quinan Rieves (21 pts) and Atavian Butler (21 pts) leading the offensive way. Jackson Andrews also knocked in 4 three-point attempts off the bench.
