Atavian Butler, a 6'3' guard/forward from McCluer North High School in St. Louis, MO, has signed with North Central Missouri College men's basketball. Butler was selected to the Class 5 All-State Team by the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association plus helped lead his team to a state quarterfinal playoff appearance and a 26-4 overall record. He was also the Suburban Conference Red Division Player of the Year while averaging 20.1 points per game on 57.6% shooting from the field. Additionally, he pulled down 7.6 rebounds per game and dished out 2.4 assists as a senior.
Head Coach Jeremy Esry had these comments about his latest signee. "Atavian is going to bring a toughness to the team that you can never have enough of. He is a proven winner and comes from an excellent high school program. On the court, Pirates fans will see a little bit of everything from Atavian but will really appreciate his rebounding and athleticism. We are excited to add Atavian to our group!"
