Pirates Basketball Adds Highly Touted St. Louis Area Recruit

Jeramy Shaw, a 6'5" guard from Valley Park High School in St. Louis, MO, has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at North Central Missouri College.

Jeramy was the third leading scorer in the St. Louis area as a senior, netting 25.6 points per game, and will look to continue that scoring prowess as a Pirate.  In addition to scoring points, he was also the top rebounder in the St. Louis area pulling down 12.6 rebounds per game.  He finished his career with 2,010 points, 861 rebounds, 465 assists 371 steals and 134 Blocks.

On top of excellent prep statistics, Jeramy was also not short on accolades.  He was a four-time South Central Athletic Association 1st Team All-Conference selection, four-times on the Valley Park Tournament All-Tournament Team, twice a Class 3 All-District 5 choice, and a participant in the MO-Betta All-Star game and the Sports Thread All-American game.

Coach Jeremy Esry also praised the character of his latest signee.  "As impressive as all of Jeramy Shaw's basketball numbers and accomplishments are, what is even more impressive is the type of high quality, high character young man he is.  You will not find a nicer young man off the court than Jeramy and it is our goal to continue turning him into a beast on the court as well.  Jeramy has all of the tools to be a really special player at NCMC and has the type of game that Pirate fans are going to love to watch.  He can do a little bit of everything with the basketball and does it all the right way and puts his team first."
