Men's Basketball faced a scrappy opponent in the Central Methodist University JV last night at the Ketcham Community Center.  The Pirates pulled out a 76-70 victory in the hard fought contest.  With the win, the Pirates head into their final regular season matchup Saturday with a 16-10 record.  In that sophomore day clash with North Arkansas College, the Pirates' current 4-game winning streak will be on the line.

Coach Esry feels his squad fought hard in the game despite not playing their best basketball.  "For the second time in week, we figured out how to come away with a victory where we didn't play our best on the defensive end or shoot it well from the outside. I'm proud of how our guys committed themselves in the second half to getting stops when we needed them and maintained the faith in their outside shots. We got some great looks early but just couldn't get any to fall. However, we were able to capitalize in the second half on some outside shots."
