Pirates Hold On Despite Outside Shooting Woes

Men's Basketball carried over momentum from their road victory Saturday against MCC-Penn Valley to take down Culver Stockton College JV 94-80 on Monday night.  The home win moves the team's overall record to 14-10.  The next action for the Pirates will be at home Thursday night when they tangle with Missouri Southern University JV.

"It was probably not our best effort or outcome last night but we still did some really good things out there on the court as a team.  We didn't shoot it as well from the outside as we would like or usually do but I thought we did some things rebounding wise and attacking wise that countered our off night shooting," detailed Coach Esry of his team's performance.

Four Pirates did score in double figures with Jalen Gant leading the way with 24 points.  Jordan Reece (17pts), MJ Johnson (16 pts), and Jake Salisbury (12 pts) rounded out the double digit scorers.
