Monday night saw a tough loss for the NCMC Men's Basketball team as they fell on their home court to Kansas City Kansas CC 82-71. With the loss, the Pirates are now 10-7 going into a Region 16 home tilt Wednesday against MCC-Penn Valley.
Leading the offensive charge for the Pirates were Ryan Ward and Jalen Gant who each totaled 14 points. MJ Johnson also chipped in with 11 points.
"It was a disappointing night for us as I don't think we played up to our abilities or played with much energy or confidence. We need to do a better job of rebounding and limiting teams to one shot as well as being aggressive on the offensive end. The good thing is that we get to bounce back quickly with Wednesday night's Region 16 matchup," remarked Coach Esry.
