Pirates Fly High Over William Penn Varsity Reserve

The Pirates scored early and often in their 107-84 rout of William Penn Varsity Reserve at the Ketcham Community Center on Monday night.  The win takes the team's overall record to 14-8 on the season.

Major Finley had a nice night scoring 20 points, as did many others.  The balanced attack had 6 total Pirates in double figures.  "It was nice to have a game where we got great contributions from everyone on the team.  Everyone who played scored," remarked Coach Esry.

The Pirates were in control of the contest from the beginning.  "We did some really good things in the first half and had great intensity and effort. In the second half, we got exposed in some areas and they showed us some things that we needed to work on to be ready for the next game," concluded Esry whose team is riding a 4 game winning streak but always looking for areas to improve.

Next up for the Pirates will be Culver Stockton JV at home on Wednesday.  That contest will follow the women's game in which Coach Croy's squad will take on Region 16 opponent Cottey College.
