The NCMC Pirates took a nice road win Wednesday against Ellsworth Community College 79-65. Demetrius Houston Jr. led the way with 18 points. Major Finley knocked in 13 points and Teyontae Jenkins hit 6 free throws in a row down the stretch to secure the victory while also having 6 assists on the night.

"I was really impressed with how "bought in" our guys where on the defensive end tonight. Ellsworth had a really good shooter that we focused on coming into the game and as a team we were able to hold him to only 3 points on the night. Anytime you can get a win on the road, it's a good night. Now we can shift our focus to a tough John Wood team coming into town on Saturday," commented coach Esry.

Come out and support the Pirates and Lady Pirates this Saturday in their double header in the Ketcham Community Center.  Games start at 1:00pm.
