North Central Missouri College Esports competed against St. Clair College in CS:GO on Wednesday. In the best of 16 matchup, the Pirates were defeated 16-0.

"We played on the map Mirage.  It was a very hard matchup for us for the first round of the tournament. We tried our hardest and almost defeated the Saints in a couple rounds throughout the matchup but their skill overcame us as a team," commented head Esports coach Chris Flowers.

"St. Clair is one of the top ranked CS:GO college teams in the nation.  Most of their players will more than likely go pro after their college years.  This team has also competed in the CSL tournament with great success.  CSL is the semi pro league for CS:GO, designed for colleges and universities.  Going into this game we had a pretty good idea what the outcome would be but we went in with our heads held high and did the best we could and played to the best of our abilities and that's all I could ask for from my players," concluded Flowers.

Wedneday's matchup marked the first time NCMC Esports competed in the game CS:GO.  The match also kicked off their spring schedule.
