Two More Wins For Esports Overwatch

On Sunday, North Central Missouri College faced Texas Wesleyan University in Overwatch.  The Rams contacted the Pirates before the match was set to begin, alerting that the team had technical difficulties and was not able to compete.  Game one was reported NO SHOW from Texas Wesleyan handing the Pirates an automatic win.

Game two saw the Pirates take on the University of Pittsburgh.  NCMC again came out on top of the matchup, winning both Oasis and Kings Row to take a 2-0 victory.  The University of Pittsburgh was a new opponent for NCMC.  The Pirates brought out team compositions that they had been practicing for weeks leading up to the matchup.  Ranged DPS in combination with an aggressive ground tank line allowed for the Pirates to capture both points with ease.  On Kings Row, the Pirates brought out a bunker composition and held Pittsburgh off of the first point.  Leading into their attack, Winston was brought out to create a diversion while two members of the Pirates secretly captured the point.

Sunday marks the second doubleheader victory in NCMC Esports history.  The wins demonstrated teamwork and flexibility that has built over the past seven weeks of practice.

"Unfortunately TWU wasn't able to show up and play but Pittsburgh was and we were able to play some of the best defense I've seen these guys play in a long time.  We won both games of the matchup without any issues. As the fall Tespa Tournament is coming to a close in about 3 weeks were working harder and harder to finish strong and hopefully get to the finals bracket," commented Head Coach Chris Flowers.
