NCMC DANCE WAVE VIRTUAL AUDTIONS 2023-24

 

ALL MATERIALS MUST BE SUBMITTED BEFORE MARCH 30, 2023!!

 

Thank you for expressing interest in the North Central Missouri College Dance Wave. This upcoming year's auditions will be held virtually. Please submit the following for your audition before 11:59 PM on Friday, March 30th, 2023 through your college or personal email:

 

  • Audition Application
  • Dance Audition Video
    • Pom Dance
    • Hip Hop Dance
    • Technique (1 turn, 1 leap, 1 kick) (optional: tumbling)

 

 

NOTE: You also must be an accepted NCMC student before submitting an audition.

Audition Video will consist of:

1.)  Pom Routine to "I'm Good" (David Guetta & Bebe Rexha) (CLEAN VERSION). Music starts at 0:45 and ends at 1:00. Tutorial to this is linked here: https://youtu.be/oC8BhnTcKPI

2.)  Hip Hop Routine to "Motley Crew" (Post Malone) (CLEAN VERSION). Music starts at 0:28 and ends at 0:45. Tutorial to this is linked here:  https://youtu.be/hv-QpO9-dEs

3.)  Technique Section with NO music that has 1 kick, 1 leap, and 1 turn. You can choose your favorite type of each to showcase. If you can tumble, this would be a great place to include it.

 

Dancers are encouraged to submit ONE email with ALL of the material listed above. Introducing yourself before dancing in the video is not required, but highly recommended.

 

Audition Attire:

Please wear all black for your audition video. Performance hair and makeup is required!

 

Results/Announcement of Team:

Results of auditions will be announced through pirate email and letter.

 

Important Dates throughout the year include, but are not limited to:

  1. Dance Team Camp
  2. Basketball Halftimes (Pirate and Lady Pirate Home games)
  3. NDA/UDA Varsity Dance Regionals and/or Nationals
  4. NCMC Events (Both Student & Sport Events)
  5. Community Events

 

Member Requirements:

Any Dance Wave member who does not perform in a professional manner and/or does not represent the position, team and college in a positive light will be removed from the position on a temporary or permanent basis as the situation dictates.

 

Appearance:

NCMC Dancers must maintain a professional appearance in costume, hair, and make-up to remain congruent with others. Hair should remain in natural colors throughout the year. Tattoos and Piercings are acceptable but must be appropriate.

 

Correspondence:

All correspondence and communication must be initiated by the Dance Wave member.

 

Attendance:

Dance Wave members will attend all practices, camps, and performances. 3 unexcused practices will result in removal from the team. Any conflicts should be reported to the Dance Coach.
