Two First Place Finishes In Dance Wave's First Competition

NCMC Dance Wave competed for the first time on Saturday when they took part in the NDA Battle Regional Championship in Columbia, MO. The team placed first in each category they competed in, college hip hop and college pom.

Here are some comments from Head Coach Carly Beebe following the event. "Our competition went great! It was such an honor for me to be the first coach to take our Dance Wave program to a competition. Being a competitive dance team is such a big deal! We performed "Astronaut in the Ocean" in the college hip hop category and "Kill the Lights" in the college pom category. Our routines were the cleanest they have ever been and the girls had a blast dancing at the competition. It was also so good for me to take them to a competition so that they could see just how big the dance world is and how much further I could push them to become better and better. We were all inspired by many different schools and routines. At awards, we humbly received first place on both of our dances. Since our team knows exactly what regionals is like, it will be more fun to make our routines even better!"

The team's next competition is in Johnston, IA on January 8th.
