Pirate's Baseball went 1-2 over the weekend and Region 16 foe East Central College.  NCMC is now 21-23 overall and hold a region record of 9-9.  Next up will be a home doubleheader on Tuesday against John Wood CC.  First pitch at Burleigh Grimes Field is set for 1pm.

Getting the lone win on the mound for the Pirates was freshman reliever Ethan Walker.  He tossed 6.2 innings and scattered 8 Falcon hits, allowing just a pair of runs.  Losses went to sophomore starter Kevin Toala (3.2 IP, 6 ER) and reliever Camden Lutz (2.2 IP, 1 ER).

Offensively, Julio Guerrero paced the Pirates with 6 hits.  He tallied 5 runs scored and had 2 RBIs.  Wilmer Jimenez also had a fine weekend, going 5-13 with a double and 8 RBIs.  Leadoff Alejandro Paz scored 5 runs for NCMC.
