NCMC baseball jumped out to a 6-0 lead in Tuesday's road game with Metropolitan CC but couldn't hold on down the stretch as they fell 8-7 to the Wolves. The Pirate's record now sits at 18-19 ahead of an important road Region 16 series with Moberly Area CC this weekend. Current region standings are as follows:

North Central Missouri College 6-5
Moberly Area Community College 5-6
Hesston College 3-9
Staring in Tuesday's game offensively was Shodai Nishihara. He went 3-3 with a homer, a triple and a pair of runs batted in. Also homering was Jordi Ventura, his 10th of the year. Dylan McIntyre tossed 4.2 innings in his first start to the season and allowed 3 earned runs. He struck out 7 MCC batters. Taking the loss on the mound was Wilmer Jimenez. He allowed one unearned run on a walk off single in the bottom of the 9th.
