Pirates Baseball took three scrimmage losses on Saturday at William Jewell College.  Final scores were 4-3, 7-1 and 11-8.  The team now sits at 4-8 in their scrimmage season with their next action being a home doubleheader with Metropolitan CC on Tuesday.  1st pitch is set for 1pm.

Leading NCMC's offense on Saturday were freshmen Jordi Ventura (4-7, 1 HR, 3 runs scored) and Julio Guerrero (3-8, 1 HR, 3 runs scored and 3 RBI).  Sophomore Hunter Scrogin also chipped in a pair of hit in his three plate appearances.  Strikeouts plagued the Pirates offense in all three games with the team totaling 26 in 18 innings.

On the mound, Johanno Perdomo tossed a stellar inning striking out 3 of the 4 batters he faced.  Taking losses were Ethan Walker in the opener, Alex Smith in game two and Dylan McIntyre in the finale.  Pirates pitching overall allowed 22 runs over 16.1 innings pitched against Jewell, a stat they will look to improve upon.
