Baseball Earns 8-5 Win Over KC Royals Scout Team

NCMC Pirates Baseball earned a solid scrimmage victory over KC Royals Scout Team on Tuesday.  The Pirates came out on top with an 8-5 win.  Below are some of the top performers for the Pirates.

 

1. Wilmer Jimenez: Jimenez had a fantastic game, both at the plate and on the field. He contributed with a key double and recorded two RBIs. His defensive skills were also on display, helping secure the Pirates' victory.

 

2. Landon Wells: Wells provided a spark at the top of the lineup, scoring two runs and contributing a crucial hit. His presence on the base paths was a constant threat to the Royals Scout Team.

 

3. Truman Bodenhausen: Bodenhausen had a strong outing, recording two RBIs and drawing two walks. His ability to drive in runs and get on base was crucial for the Pirates' offensive effort.

 

4. Jordi Ventura:  Ventura showcased his pitching prowess, coming in to close out the game and secure the victory for the Pirates. He struck out three batters in his one inning of work and held the Royals Scout Team in check.

 

Overall, it was a well-rounded team effort by the NCMC Pirates, with key contributions from their top performers at the plate and on the mound. Their solid performance secured the 8-5 win against a competitive KC Royals Scout Team.  For the fall, NCMC now holds a record of 3-4 ahead of a Saturday road doubleheader with Truman State University in Kirksville, MO.
