Savannah Crowd Sees Pirates Baseball Split With Graceland U To Move To 2-4 Overall

Pirate's baseball completed their fifth and six games of the fall scrimmage season on Thursday when they traveled to Savannah, MO to take on Graceland University.  NCMC recently opened a brand new Savannah campus and the support from the community for Pirates baseball was strong at the doubleheader split.

 

The team is now 2-4 this fall after being swept by Fort Scott CC on August 31st, earning a win over Metropolitan CC but dropping a game to Iowa Central CC in Warrensburg on September 8th and Thursday's split with Graceland.  Here are some of the Pirate's top performers so far this fall.

 

Offensive:

  • Freshman Julio Guerrer0 – .417 average, 5 runs, 3 RBI
  • Freshman Wilmer Jimenez – .462 average, 3 runs, 3 RBI
  • Sophomore Rawlins Brant – .250 average, 4 runs, 1 HR

Pitching:

 

Next action for the Pirates will be a road matchup on Tuesday, Sept. 19th with the Kansas City Royals Scout team.
