Pirates baseball got swept in a 3-game set with North Arkansas College on Sunday and Monday. With the losses, NCMC now holds a 14-31 record going into a Wednesday road doubleheader at Missouri Valley College JV.
On Sunday, NCMC took losses by the scores of 17-2 and 6-1 in Lathrop, MO. Getting losses on the mound were Dylan Niemeyer (1-3) and Nathan Fine (2-5). Monday's 8-0 loss went to Layne Rutherford (2-5) despite not allowing an earned run over 5 innings pitched.
Offense was hard for the Pirates to come by in the series, recording just 10 hits and scoring 3 runs in the games. Noah Bodenhausen totaled 3 of those hits to lead the Pirates. Jesus Fonseca added a pair of hits including a solo home run.
