Road Struggle For Pirates Baseball At Metropolitan

NCMC hit the road Thursday for a baseball scrimmage doubleheader with Metropolitan CC.  The Pirates dropped the first game 8-3 before tying the second game 8-8.  The team's scrimmage record this fall sits at 5-3-2 with their final home scrimmage action coming Saturday when they take on Evo Elite (OK).

 

Noah Bodenhausen led the offensive charge for NCMC, totaling 3 hits to push his fall batting average to .400.  He also scored 3 runs for the Pirates.  Josuel Santos went 2-6 and drove in 3 Pirates runs.

 

On the mound, walks plagued NCMC.  They gave a total of 24 free bases over 14 innings pitched.  The Pirates also committed 4 timely errors which aided the Wolves offensive output.  Layne Rutherford did toss a dominating 2 innings of relief in game two, striking out 4 batters.
