Baseball Defeats Metropolitan CC On The Road

Pirates Baseball picked up their 26th win of the regular season Tuesday when they defeated Metropolitan CC 22-13.  NCMC, 26-18 overall, now looks ahead to the Plains District Championship where they will try to earn a berth in the NJCAA World Series.  That tournament will be held in Enid, OK beginning Sunday, May 16th.  Seeding for the tournament is not yet set.

 

Pirates bats were hot in the win over MCC.  The team pounded out 22 hits, led by Noah Bodenhausen's 5-5 day.  He also scored 3 runs.  Sophomore Braedyn Brewer went 3-5 and was a home run shy of the cycle.  Brewer (.409) and Bodenhausen (.407) lead the Pirates in batting average for the year.  In the game, 7 NCMC players picked up at least 2 hits.

 

It wasn't as pretty for the Pirates on the mound.  The team walked 15 Wolves batters and hit 2 more.  Cale Polson picked up the win for the Pirates in relief.
