Pirates Baseball picked up a pair of easy victories on Wednesday at home over Missouri Valley College JV 12-2 and 11-3. The wins pushed the Pirates record to 19-16 before a 4-game home series with Dakota County Technical College this weekend.
Noah Bodenhausen stared again offensively for NCMC, going 6-8 with 6 runs scored and 4 stolen bases. His .421 average ranks 49th best in NJCAA DII. Tanner Sears, coming off the bench for the Pirates in both games, also had a fine day going 3-3 with 3 RBIs and 2 doubles. The Pirates as a team hit .447 for the day.
Earning wins on the mound were sophomores Dylan Niemeyer (4-4) and Yasser Rondon (1-2). Rondon's win was the first of his Pirates career.
