Franco Dominates In Pirates Lone Win Against Lewis & Clark CC

Pirates baseball went 1-2 in a weekend series with Lewis and Clark Community College to push their season record to 10-14 overall.  Next action for the Pirates will be a home doubleheader with Missouri Valley College JV on Thursday. 

 

The Pirates got an outstanding pitching effort from sophomore Keven Franco in their lone win.  He pitched a complete game shutout, allowing just 1 hit while striking out 14 batters.  He improved his season record to 3-1.

 

At the plate, Noah Bodenhausen had a torrid series.  He went 7-11 with a homerun, a double and 6 RBIs.  He currently leads the team in nearly every offensive category including hits (26), walks (16), runs (21), RBIs (20), stolen bases (13) and is tied in home runs (3) with Tanner Sears and Nathaniel Lai.
