Pirates Baseball notched a solid 13-3 road victory over Highland Community College on Tuesday.
The Pirates jumped on top of the Scotties early, with 3 runs in the first and second innings and didn't look back. Getting the victory on the mound was Cash Miller, who tossed 5 strong innings allowing only 2 runs, both of which were unearned. Leading the way with the bat was Braedyn Brewer, who went 3-5 with a home run, 2 runs scored and 2 RBIs. The Pirates offense batted .382 collectively.
Coming off this win against a DI opponent should provide some confidence for the Pirates as they travel to Oklahoma this weekend. There they will take on DII's 4th ranked team, Northern Oklahoma Tonkawa. The Pirates carry a 7-9 overall record into the four game series.
