It was a 6-0 win on Thursday for Pirates Baseball over Missouri Valley College JV.  With the win, the Pirates improved their record to 15-33 for the season with five games remaining.  Next action will be Saturday when NCMC hosts Mineral Area College at 1pm.  Sophomore Day ceremonies will be held between games of the doubleheader.

Pirates pitching only allowed a single hit to the visiting Vikings.  Earning the win in relief was Brandin Hallier who tossed 2 scoreless innings.  The 3-inning save went to sophomore Nick Hartley.  "Pitching and defense was strong for us today.  Hopefully we can carry that momentum into the weekend," commented Coach Suttenfield.

The Pirates offense did just enough to secure the victory.  Braedyn Brewer had a nice day going 3-4 with 1 run and 2 RBIs.  He led the game off with a triple, the Pirates only extra base hit.  SJ Hunter added a 2-3 effort with 2 runs scored.
