NCMC Baseball Signs First 2019-20 Recruit

NCMC Baseball has announced their first signee for the 2019-20 recruiting class.  Albert Gonzalez, an athletic infielder/pitcher from New York City, brings nice tools for the Pirates coaching staff to work with.  "We are excited to have Albert choose to be a Pirate.  He shows nice arm strength as well as plenty of pop in his bat.  The physical ability he possesses will allow him to really improve during his time at NCMC.  We look for him to be very impactful for us the next two years," commented Head Coach Donnie Hillerman.

Gonzalez lives in the Bronx and plays club ball for the Sayo Greys.  Current NCMC pitcher Alex Reyes, who looks to be an integral part of the Pirates pitching staff this spring, also played for the Greys.  Darrel Tiebout manages the team and has been a trusted recruiting contact.  "Darrel was able to bring a group of players to campus to see what our school and program have to offer.  We were able to showcase the level of support we are able to provide our athletes.  Albert really seemed to be impressed by that," added Hillerman.  "We think we are getting a kid with great character in Albert."
