NCMC Baseball took a road loss 9-6 Tuesday against Highland Community College.  The Pirates are now 8-28 ahead of a big series with Region 16 foe MCC-Maple Woods which starts Thursday.

Taking the loss for the Pirates was Trae Brownell, who allowed 7 earned runs in the first inning.  Relievers backing him up held Highland to only two more runs the rest of the game but the Pirates offense came up short in their comeback bid.  Top offensive contributors were Quinsly Balentien (3-5, 3 runs and 2 RBI), Enrique Madera (2-5, 1 run and 1 RBI) and Brian Whiles (2-4, 1 run).
