Bunch Signs With William Woods University For Fall 2017

Sophomore Pirate pitcher Drew Bunch has signed his national letter of intent to continue his baseball playing career at William Woods University beginning in the fall of 2017.  Bunch, a 6'4" 220 pound reliever, had 18.1 innings pitched in 13 appearances for Coach Hillerman's squad as a freshman.  He only looks to improve upon his impact from last year this spring.

"Drew Bunch is an instrumental leader on our team," remarked Coach Hillerman.  "We require a lot from our sophomores and Drew has really taken initiative in leading our group."  On the mound, there are still areas for improvement and given Drew's work ethic, strides continue to be made.  "Bunch is one of the hardest working guys on our pitching staff.  That is important in two regards.  First, it will help him continue to improve as a player.  Second, it provides a great example for younger players on our team," commented assistant coach Ryan Suttenfield.

Congratulations to Drew and to William Woods on the signing.  The intangibles that Drew brings to the table will be a positive for their program as it has been for the Pirates.
