NCMC athletics had their 2nd annual day of community service on Monday. Athletes, coaches and staff completed projects around campus in addition to at the Green Hills Animal Shelter and at the Church Women United thrift store.
To date, the department has completed over 700 hours of community service this school year.
Director of Athletics Nate Gamet had these comments about the event. "The Martin Luther King Day of service is a great opportunity for our young men and women to help give back to a community that shows them so much support. This is one of my favorite events we do as an athletic department and the feedback from the community is awesome. A big thank you to all of our coaches for expressing and instilling the importance of service to our student athletes. Their efforts make this all possible."
