Six total members of the North Central Missouri College basketball teams received 2019-20 All-Region XVI honors.
For the Lady Pirates, redshirt freshman Kortlyn Rounkles earned 1st team honors. She averaged 17.8 points per game and had 72 steals in her first season for NCMC. Earning second team distinction was freshman Lily Osborn. She ended the season averaging 12.3 points for the 19-10 Lady Pirates.
Men's basketball boasted the Region XVI player of the year in sophomore Marty Jackson. In the regular season, he averaged 15.6 points per game while shooting 59% from the field. 1st Team honors went to freshman Atavian Butler. He also averaged 15.6 points for the 26-3 Pirates. 2nd Team selections were sophomores Quinan Rieves (11.9ppg) and TJ Babikir (10.4ppg).
Men's head coach Jeremy Esry also won Region XVI Coach of the Year for the second consecutive year. His career record as NCMC's head coach is 81-38, a .681 winning percentage.
