Twin Golfers From Cameron High School Sign With NCMC

Pirates Golf signed Trey Howell and Lady Pirates Golf signed Kiersten Howell to national letters of intent to play golf at NCMC for the 2019-20 school year.  The twin siblings currently compete at Cameron High School and will graduate this spring.

Coach Sager's connection to the Cameron area was instrumental in the recruiting effort.  "Getting Trey is kind of coming full circle for me.  After moving back from the South, Cameron was my first head professional position in this area.  I got to know Trey's family during my time there and I know we are getting a tremendous person.  Like most of the players that we bring in, Trey is a multi-sport athlete that knows how to work hard and receive instruction.  He will bring a great attitude to the course and the classroom every day.  I am ready to get him on campus and start working towards lower, more consistent scoring.  He's a great competitor; he'll figure it out quickly."

Coach Cordray had these comments about adding Kiersten to next year's team.  "She will be a good representative for Lady Pirate golf the next two seasons.  She has a good attitude on and off the course.  Kiersten will be consistent with her scoring and I look for her to have a good upside on improving at the collegiate level."
