North Central Missouri College men's and women's basketball are set to compete in the NJCAA Region 16 tournament this week.  The tournament will be held on the campus of Lincoln University in Jefferson City, MO.  The tournament runs from Thursday, February 28th - Saturday, March 2nd.

On the men's side, the 3rd seeded Pirates will take on the 2nd seed Metropolitan Community College.  They will play on Thursday with the tip set for 4:00pm.  A matchup with St. Louis Community College awaits the winner.  The Pirates split with the Wolves in the regular season taking the home matchup by a score of 110-75 before dropping the road tilt 114-106.  The Pirates final regular season record sits at 15-12.

NCMC will also be the 3rd seed for the women's tournament.  They take on #2 seed St. Louis Community College at 4:00pm on Friday with the winner facing Metropolitan Community College for the region championship.  The Lady Pirates, 7-19 overall, will look to avenge two regular season losses to St. Louis.
