NCMC Women’s Golf Shoots 3rd Best Team Score In Program History at William Woods

The NCMC Women's Golf Team traveled to Fulton, MO on Monday and Tuesday to compete in the William Woods Spring Invitational held at Tanglewood Golf Course. What was supposed to be a 36-hole event, mother nature had different plans and shortened the event to 18 holes throughout the two days. The rainy and windy conditions didn't stop the Pirates from shooting the 3rd best 18-hole team score in program history with a tally of 355. That total placed NCMC in 8th place out of 11 schools at the event. "Great week for the girls again. The weather conditions were less than ideal but the girls battled through the conditions and played some solid golf. Congrats to Mollee for the low round, she did a really good job of not getting herself in trouble off the tee. Haley made some key putts to keep her round going and Kennedy hit just about as many Fairways in Regulation as the rest of the tournament field. Skyler simply had one bad hole in the middle of her round but recovered nicely on the back nine", stated Head Coach Nate Swann.

Mollee Olszowka led NCMC at the tournament firing an 84 which placed Olszowka T22nd at the conclusion of the event. Haley Baskett finished T25th in the 51 player field after posting a score of 86. Kennedy Dickerson was right behind Baskett who shot an 87 and finished T27th. Skyler Powers rounded out the Pirate scoring with a 98 and finishing T44th.

The NCMC Women's Golf Team will be in action next on April 5th-6th when they compete in the Peru State Fall Invitational in Nebraska City, NE. Shotgun start from Table Creek Golf Course will begin both days at 10:00 A.M.
