Women's Golf Kicks Off Season With Arizona Trip

Here is a recap from NCMC women's golf coach Daniel Cordray about their recent trip to Arizona.

"Against Chandler-Gilbert we played a pairs format in foursomes.  We went 1-2 in the matches.  We lost by only 1 stroke in one of our losses, so we came close to a W.  Chandler-Gilbert had just won their home event against the other AZ jucos earlier in the week."

"In the conclusion of our matches in Arizona, Park University-Gilbert hosted us at Superstition Springs Golf Club.  Due to unforeseen circumstances they were unable to field a full squad.  We competed in strictly stroke play and fired a team score of 376.  Carson Hall led the way with an 88."

"Overall on the trip, I saw quite a few good things for our first time on grass this spring.  We've still got to work on bringing things from the golf room to the course.  I didn't expect for things we've worked on to immediately fall into place on the course, but we reverted back to some old habits too much.  This will work itself out with more work in the golf room and on the course as weather allows us."
