Lady Pirates Golf finished 10th in the 11-team field at the Buena Vista Invite over the weekend. The Pirates shot 765 in the two-day event, which was won by Dakota Wesleyan University (682).

Leading the Lady Pirates was Carson Hall with a strong showing. She shot +13 in the opening round and +14 in the final round.

Coach Cordray had these comments about his team's efforts. "The conditions of the course were very wet due to all of the recent rain so the course was playing longer than normal. We are close to getting over the hump right now as a team but are struggling to put four scores together each round. For the most part, we are still showing good signs of improvement. Carson had a very good tourney and only missed the all-tourney team by one stroke. I saw several stretches of holes where we looked pretty good and then still fought a hole or two for a few of the ladies. We wrap up our fall season on Wednesday at the Simpson Invite. I am hoping we finish with our best performance of the fall to go into the winter break with confidence. We will work on individual things through the off-season to get us where we need to be for the spring."
