Coach Croy Earns 300th Win As Lady Pirates Down Southeast CC 85-54

In commanding fashion, the 8th ranked Lady Pirates secured victory over Southeast Community College with a final score of 85-54. The win improved NCMC's team record to 18-4 and marked Head Coach Jenni Croy's 300th career victory.  She now has a coaching record at NCMC of 300-202, an impressive 0.597 winning percentage.

 

Jessica Reeter led the charge for NCMC, showcasing her scoring prowess with 18 points. Reeter is now averaging 11.4 ppg this season, a team high.  Bailey Fleming contributed 9 points, displaying versatility in her scoring abilities.

 

Nateonia Russell had an exceptional all-around performance, contributing 7 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Russell's ability to impact various facets of the game underscored her importance to the team's success. Mary Copeland also played a significant role in the frontcourt, tallying 12 points and contributing 7 rebounds.

 

The bench players, including Gladys Brown and LaKorria Brown, made valuable contributions to the team's success. Gladys Brown displayed her scoring ability with 14 points, while LaKorria Brown added 7 points to the team's total.

 

Defensively, the Lady Pirates displayed great discipline, limiting Southeast CC to 31.7% shooting from the field. The team's ability to secure rebounds, with a total of 47, highlighted their dominance in controlling the boards.

 

NCMC's next action will be a Sophomore Day matchup with Region 16 foe Metropolitan CC.  In a road matchup earlier this season, the Lady Pirates downed the Wolves 73-54 and will look for another high level performance Saturday to solidify their control of the Region 16 standings.
