Strong Shooting Effort Leads Lady Pirates To Road Win Over John Wood CC

The NCMC Lady Pirates, ranked 12th in the latest NJCAA DII poll, secured an impressive road victory against John Wood Community College on Tuesday, culminating in an 85-70 win characterized by their exceptional shooting and effective teamwork.  The win improves the team's record to 12-2 ahead of their annual Florida trip.  In Palm Beach, they will face off against 11th ranked Morton College on Friday and host Palm Beach State College, ranked 19th, on Saturday.  This pair of games will conlude the team's 1st semester action.

 

Jessica Reeter delivered an outstanding performance for NCMC, leading the scoring effort with a phenomenal 23 points. Reeter showcased her shooting prowess, hitting 8 of 10 shots from the field, including an incredible 6-of-8 from beyond the arc. Her offensive contribution was vital in securing the team's substantial lead.

 

Jacie Morris made a significant impact off the bench, contributing 13 points in 25 minutes of play. Morris demonstrated accuracy and confidence in her shooting, connecting on 4 of 5 attempts from the field, including 2 of 3 from the three-point range.

 

Tori Meinecke also played a crucial role, contributing 12 points efficiently by shooting an impressive 5-of-6 from the field. Meinecke's performance was not only reflected in her scoring but also in her facilitation, tallying 4 assists, and contributing to the team's cohesive offensive play.

 

Nateonia Russell orchestrated the offense effectively, amassing 8 points and 6 assists. Russell's control and vision on the court were instrumental in creating opportunities for her teammates, enhancing the team's overall offensive efficiency.
