NCMC women's basketball brought home a 7th place finish in the NJCAA DII Women's Basketball National Championship, which was held in Port Huron, MI from March 21-25. The Lady Pirates dropped their opening round game to Pima Community College before going 3-0 in the consolation bracket. With their 3-1 showing in the tournament, NCMC finished the year with a record of 26-7.
The B.J. Graber Cox Sportsmanship Award was given to NCMC for the class and sportsmanship they displayed in the tournament. Additionally, sophomore Nora Ford was one of twelve players named to the All-Tournament team. She averaged 19 points, 6.25 rebounds and 3.75 assists per game.
