Ford Sets Single Game Assist Record As Lady Pirates Down Missouri Valley JV

The Lady Pirates improved to 19-5 on Monday night when they handily defeated Missouri Valley College JV 92-53.  The win was a nice rebound for NCMC after a close loss on the road Saturday to Iowa Central CC.  Next up for the Lady Pirates, ranked 20th in the latest NJCAA DII poll, will be a road matchup with Marshalltown CC on Wednesday.  NCMC turned back the Lady Tigers at home earlier this year 107-41.

Leading the scoring on Monday night was Maci Moore with a season high 28 points.  Her scoring was extremely efficient as she went 12-15 from the floor and 3-3 from the charity stripe.  Others in double figures were Jordyn Gray (14pts), Ianara Morbidoni (12pts), Kennadie Crowe (11 pts) and Mary Copeland (11pts).

All-American Nora Ford dished out 14 assists in the victrory, a new school record for a single game.
