NCMC women's basketball, ranked 18th in the latest NJCAA DII poll, easily handled William Penn University JV 81-46 on Thursday to improve to 18-4 on the year. The win marked the team's 8th straight with their next test coming on the road Saturday when they travel to play Iowa Central CC.
Maci Moore had a standout performance on Thursday night when she scored 15 points and pulled down 15 rebounds. Fellow starter Nora Ford added 13 points and Tori Meinecke came off the bench to chip in 12 points. NCMC shot 40.9% from the field as a team despite only getting 4 of 24 to go in from three point land.
Moore and fellow sophomore Kennadie Crowe each eclipsed the career 1,000 point mark in the victory. Nora Ford reached that plateau earlier this season as well.
