The 19th ranked Lady Pirates had no issues taking down Cottey College JV 90-43 on Sunday night to improve to 13-4 on the regular season. The team used a stout full court defense plus 39.7% shooting from the field to cruise to victory.
Scoring in double figures were starters Nora Ford (22 pts) and Kennadie Crowe (12 pts) plus reserves Mary Copeland (14 pts) and Tori Meinecke (11 pts). Ford, a 2021-22 First Team All-American, improved her season average points per game to 20.1, which is tied for 9th best in the nation.
Next action for the Lady Pirates will be a home tilt with Missouri Valley College JV on Tuesday night in the Ketcham Community Center. Tipoff is set for 5:30pm.
