Lady Pirates Use Charity Stripe To Take Down Visiting Scotties

Lady Pirates basketball improved to 7-3 on Wednesday when they downed Highland CC 83-75.  Their next action will be at home on Sunday when they take on State Fair CC.  This contest will be the team's last home game of the first semester.

Providing a standout scoring night for NCMC was sophomore Kennadie Crowe.  She totaled 29 points on 11-14 shooting plus went 6-8 from the free throw line.  Ianara Morbidoni (18 points), Nora Ford (16 points) and Maci Moore (11 points) also made key contributions for NCMC.

Where the Lady Pirates truly shined was at the free throw line.  They went 24-31 to just 7-10 for Highland.  Foul trouble was a key to the Scotties undoing.  Kimmey Washington, the team's leading rebounder and force in the lane, fouled out and played limited minutes due to foul trouble.
