Lady Pirates Down Missouri Valley JV | Johnson Inducted Into HOF

17th ranked NCMC women's basketball capped off their home schedule in style on Tuesday by downing Missouri Valley JV 87-40.  The team's record now sits at 21-4 with a pair of road contests remaining in the regular season.  The first of those will be Saturday afternoon when they tangle with North Platte CC, a team receiving votes in the latest NJCAA DII poll.

Leading the way for offensively for NCMC was Angel Wiggins.  She totaled 17 points on 6-14 shooting, including a pair of made 3's.  Having her best game of the year off the bench for the Lady Pirates was Jordyn Gray.  She poured in 14 points on an efficient 6-8 shooting.

At halftime of the game, the NCMC Athletics Hall of Fame inducted longtime radio broadcaster Tom Johnson.  Tom was hired by KTTN/KGOZ Radio in Trenton on August 1, 2002, and is approaching 20 years of service as the "Voice of the Pirates".  He has been an enthusiastic supporter of the NCMC basketball programs and is hopeful each can achieve a NJCAA national championship in the near future.
