Lady Pirates Keep Rolling

NCMC women's basketball improved to 20-4 on the season with a Sophomore Day win against St. Louis Community College 106-51.  The win secured an undefeated Region 16 regular season for the Lady Pirates and marked head coach Jenny Croy's 250th career victory.

Leading the scoring for the 17th ranked Lady Pirates were the tandem of Nora Ford and Jasmine Taylor, each with 16 points.  Five other NCMC players totaled double figures for the team's balanced attack.  The Lady Pirates suffocating team defense forced 23 St. Louis CC turnovers, a key to victory.

Sophomore Lady Pirates that were honored between the women's and men's game included Toya Bethel, Kennadie Crowe, Nora Ford, Jordan Hibner, Jasmine Taylor and Angel Wiggins.  Thanks to each player for your contributions to NCMC athletics.

Next up is a home matchup with Missouri Valley College JV on Tuesday.  This will be the team's last home contest of the regular season.  During halftime of the game, there will be a NCMC Athletics Hall of Fame induction and following the game the NCMC men's and women's basketball players will sign autographs for fans.
