Metropolitan CC No Match For 17th Ranked Lady Pirates

The wins keep coming for the 17th ranked NCMC Lady Pirates.  They defeated region foe Metropolitan Community College at home Saturday 86-50 for their 18th win of the season.  Their current 7-game winning streak will be on the line Tuesday when they host Missouri Valley College JV at 5:30pm in the Ketcham Community Center.

 

Pacing the offense for the potent Pirates attack was sophomore Nora Ford with 22 points.  This was the 8th game this season she has scored at least 20 points for NCMC. 

 

Also having a nice scoring afternoon was Angel Wiggins with 13 points.  As a team, NCMC shot a sterling 50.8% from the field in victory. 

 

Leading Metropolitan was Asha Shareef who totaled a game high 25 points.

 

With the win, NCMC now holds a commanding 3-0 Region 16 mark with only Saturday's home matchup with St. Louis Community College left on the region regular season schedule.  That game will also be the "Black Out Game" plus the Lady Pirates will be honoring their sophomore players.
