Lady Pirates Improve To 17-4 With Win Over Southeast CC

The NCMC women's basketball team scored a solid 80-73 victory at home Thursday night when they defeated Southeast Community College 80-73.  The win pushes the team's record to a stellar 17-4 with five regular season contests remaining.

Leading the scoring for a balanced NCMC attack was Trenton's own Maci Moore.  She poured in 19 points on 7-7 shooting plus 5 clutch free throws.  Also in double figures were fellow starters Kennadie Crowe (16 pts) and Angel Wiggins (12 pts) plus Toya Bethel's 10 bench points.  Pulling down the team high in rebounds was Jasmine Taylor with 10.

The Lady Pirates will look to keep their undefeated NJCAA Region 16 record intact when they host Metropolitan CC on Saturday.  Tipoff is set for 2:00pm and fans are encouraged to dress in white for the annual "White Out Game".
