Lady Pirates Split Florida Trip Games

13th ranked NCMC women's basketball split their Palm Beach State Classic games over the weekend in Florida.  On Friday, the Lady Pirates handled Bryant & Stratton College (VA) 63-46.  However, NCMC couldn't pull out the win in a close matchup on Saturday against an undefeated Wake Technical CC squad falling 79-75.  The games concluded the fall semester for the team which sits at 10-3 with plenty of high stakes matchups still to come next semester.

Against Bryant & Stratton, three sophomore Lady Pirates led the way.  Jasmine Taylor totaled 16 points on 8-11 shooting, while Nora Ford (15 points) and Angel Wiggins (12 points) each proved important in the win.  Maci Moore pulled down a team high 12 rebounds.

Kennadie Crowe stood out in the defeat to Wake Tech.  She netted 28 points, her high mark for the season.  Ford and Wiggins again had solid games, pouring in 16 and 11 points respectively.

Next action for NCMC will be a road matchup January 5th at Fort Scott Community College.  NCMC defeated the Greyhounds earlier in the year at the Ketcham Center 81-60.
