Lady Pirates Get Big Road Win At Highland CC

The 13th ranked North Central Missouri College Lady Pirates earned a big 78-67 road win against the Highland Community College Scotties on Monday night inside Ben Allen Field House. The Lady Pirates held a 39-27 lead at the break and fended off the Scotties with a strong 4th quarter, outscoring Highland 26-16. The win moved NCMC to 9-2 on the year and pushed their win streak to 4 games.

Jordan Hibner provided a huge spark off the bench for the Lady Pirates by hitting a barrage of 3 pointers and tallying 18 points. Hibner was 6-7 from beyond the arc while adding a pair of rebounds. Nora Ford matched Hibner's point total for the Lady Pirates plus dished out 3 assists.

Angel Wiggins scored 15 points and Maci Moore finished with 11 points and 9 rebounds. Kennadie Crowe added 8 points and 7 rebounds. Jasmine Taylor was another key on the glass Monday getting to double digits with 11 rebounds to go along with 5 points. Jordyn Gray knocked down a 3 pointer for the Lady Pirates and added a steal and 3 rebounds.

The Lady Pirates defense kept Highland in check on Monday evening holding the Scotties to just 35.9% (28-78) from the field and 23.5% (8-34) from beyond the arc.

The Lady Pirates are in action next Friday (12/17) and Saturday (12/18) competing at the Palm Beach State Classic in West Palm Beach, FL. The Lady Pirates take on Bryant & Stratton College (VA) at 4:00pm on Friday and play undefeated Wake Technical Community College on Saturday at noon.
