Solid Home Win For Lady Pirates Over Southwestern CC

Lady Pirates basketball improved to 5-1 for the season by defeating Southwestern Community College 75-62 on Tuesday night at the Ketcham Community Center.  Next action for the 14th ranked Pirates will be a road matchup with State Fair Community College, a team that currently holds a record of 2-3.  That game is set for Tuesday, November 23rd in Sedalia, MO.

 

Pacing the NCMC offensive attack was Kennadie Crowe with 18 points.  This was her season high and pushes her average points per game to a solid 14.5 on a 43% shooting percentage.

 

Also scoring in double figures for the balanced Lady Pirates attack was Angel Wiggins and Jasmine Taylor with 14 points apiece and Toya Bethel scoring 12 points off the bench.  Taylor recorded a double-double, pulling down 13 rebounds to go with her solid offensive production.
