The Lady Pirates went on the road Tuesday to take on Division I foe Mineral Area College and came out on the short end of a 72-64 final score. Luckily, NCMC will get a chance to avenge the loss when they host the Cardinals on February 13th. NCMC's record currently sits at 1-2 ahead of another DI road trip Saturday to Crowder College.
Returning All-American Kortlyn Rounkles had her best showing of the young season scoring 18 points on 7-18 shooting. Also in double figures for NCMC was Maci Moore with 12 points, though the Cardinals were able to keep her off the boards to stop her scoring/rebounding double-double streak at 2 games.
